Dylan Mchann Quartet: Album Release! "Victory & Sorrow"
Thursday October 23rd
Dylan McHann is a saxophonist currently based in South FL. Dylan’s music reaches into the legacy of jazz history and brings it into the present with a fresh perspective.
Joined by an exceptional rhythm section featuring Tal Cohen on piano, Vince Dupont on bass, and Lucas Apostoleris on drums, McHann channels the spirit of straight-ahead jazz while carving out a voice that is deeply personal and emotionally resonant. Grounded in the legacy of artists like Charlie Parker and Cedar Walton, Victory and Sorrow marks the arrival of a bandleader unafraid to confront life’s complexities through sound.
This album features 7 original compositions (and 3 Cedar Walton tunes to be released ONLY on bandcamp) that we recorded in just a few hours earlier this year. Many of the songs were recorded in 1 – 2 takes which kept it really fresh.
first single is out NOW from my debut album Victory & Sorrow, which will be releasing later this month. You can stream it anywhere and watch the full video on YouTube.
